We’ve had a lot of winter weather to deal with on the new home we are building, but we are steadily making progress. This week the main task has been erecting the roof trusses. Our job site forklift cannot handle 50′ trusses like this so we had a small crane on the site Monday to lift the trusses up into place. It is important to handle trusses properly so they are not damaged or stressed during installation. Once the trusses are in place they are braced properly. Then the roof sheathing can be installed, followed by the roof covering.
