The roof decking has all been installed on our Passive house project. The house has unequal roof pitches. This was done to provide a steep pitch to the south for future photovoltaic electric panels. You can see we framed in the gable ends using gypsum sheathing. This is above the white insulated form walls. All exterior surfaces will eventually be covered with a synthetic stucco finish material.
The windows and exterior doors have also been installed. These products came from a German manufacturer and are very high quality. The windows have heavy jambs and sashes with multiple weather seals and triple glazing making them quite heavy units to move around. The workers did a good job getting them set in place and sealed up properly. The doors are also quite massive, at about 3″ thick, with multiple point locking systems and excellent weather seals.
