Our trade partners have been busy on our East side home seeing that the mechanical and electrical systems are installed. The owners met with the electricians on site last week to finalize the placement of all the lights and electrical receptacles. I find that is a very good way to make sure things are installed properly. It is possible to work from drawings to do this, but on site visits are very helpful. The main electrical panels have been installed in the basement and the wires all head back to the panels.
The heating distribution ductwork is being installed in the joist spaces. This house has 18” open web floor trusses so there is quite a bit of room to maneuver ducts and piping in the space. The same holds true for the plumbing lines. When we are all done there are many, many feet of wiring and piping installed.
