Today the insulators are finishing up with insulating work in the attic of our East side remodeling project. They are installing sprayed foam insulation between the rafters. We are doing this in an effort to add insulation to the home—and hopefully lessen the ice dams on the roof that the owner has been plagued with. The foam insulation works very well to seal up all the air leaks and provides a good level of insulation. This is especially important at where the roof rafters meet the attic floor. The valley rafters have been foamed which should really help with ice dams in the roof valleys.
We have also installed the owners slate tile in the second floor bathroom. The basement floor has been painted a light gray and all the walls and ceilings painted. It is so nice and bright there with the new windows installed and everything cleaned up nicely.
