We took advantage of the warm fall weather a few weeks ago and were able to complete the cement plaster exterior finish on our remodeling project at Elwell residence hall. Because all the windows were changed and many were moved to new locations the architects decided to use a band of cement plaster around the building rather than try to make numerous brick patches. A light green band of color was used at the top of the wall. By adding the cement plaster the building also carries the look of the newer cottage building across the campus.
Interior work is moving along very nicely too. The walls are mainly finished and the first application of paint has been applied. The bathroom tile work is just about finished. The building looks so bright and cheerful now….it will be a wonderful environment for the residents.
